Federation Track West runs for 1,463 kilometres from the Royal Exhibition Building in the heart of Melbourne to Parliament House in Adelaide, site of the 1897 Constitutional Convention. It passes through stunning coastal scenery, giant blue gum forests, ephemeral coastal lakes, giant sand dunes, the haunting Coorong and the fertile orchards and vineyards in wine country and the Mount Lofty Ranges.

Federation Track West links and follows existing walking tracks in Victoria and South Australia.

Federation Track West has been proof-walked and way-pointed. The first in a series of Track Guides has been published and is now available.
